Open Access Policy

The Presidency University Journal (PUJ) is a fully open access journal. All articles published in PUJ are freely and permanently available online to all users immediately upon publication, at no cost to readers or authors.

Users are permitted to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of articles, crawl them for indexing, pass them as data to software, or use them for any other lawful purpose, provided the original work is appropriately cited. This is in accordance with the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI) definition of open access.

PUJ does not charge any article submission charges, article processing charges (APCs), or other fees at any stage of the publication process. Articles are published under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0); full details are provided in the Copyright and Licensing Policy below.

The journal is published by the Presidency University and supported by the university budget.

Copyright and Licensing Policy

Authors who publish with the Presidency University Journal (PUJ) retain copyright of their work and grant the journal the right of first publication.

All articles published in PUJ are licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0). Under this license, others are free to share (copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format) and adapt (remix, transform, and build upon the material) for any purpose, including commercially, provided that appropriate credit is given to the original author(s) and source, a link to the license is provided, and any changes made are indicated.

By submitting to PUJ, authors confirm that the work is original, has not been published elsewhere, and does not infringe upon the rights of any third party.
